Default loss of power???

i recently chipped my car and it sometimes feel sluggish. i kinda feel a delay before the power hits and i take off. how long does it supposed to take for our turbos to spool. im assuming not long at all.
also, has anyone experienced lack of torque and power loss on 6th gear going about 80mph??? the reason i ask is because there was this ricer in his civic that was playing around and we were going about 80mph(i was just cruising) when i heard him downshift. what i wanted to do was not let him pass, so i floored it and while i was on 6th and it seemed that my car didnt pick up and to be honest he passed me up. embarassing!!!

what do u guys think?

6th gear is not exactly the best gear for passing/racing, unless you are going for a super high top speed on the autobahn. Secondly, do you notice that your car seems to be very powerful in the mornings when you car is still cool, but then it gets sluggish in the afternoon when it's hot? If so, that's because your turbo charged S4 needs better Intercooling. Have you seen the tiny stock S4 Intercoolers? They can get heat soaked pretty easily. I am looking into having RS4 Intercoolers installed on my chipped S4. Along with IC misters.

Default Aren't the RS4 ICs marginally larger than stock?

If so, I don't see how you'll get much more additional cooling efficency. Misters will definitely help reduce heatsoak, however.

You can get all radical going the FMIC or water to air intercooler setups. Those will increase cooling efficency tremendously.

i've checked my tbb...it doesnt seem to be torn. but, yes my car feels more sluggish around the afternoon and feels great in the morning.

what would be the best way to relive the car of heat soak?

Default Remove your fog lights....

Will allow more airflow to your ICs when you are moving. Won't help when you are standing still though.

Default Not yet...

Thinking about doing it soon. I need to get a hold of Canadian lower grilles before I do. When you see how the fog lights block the ICs, you see how a simple mod can help out a lot.

I don't know when the next meet will be. Preferably after I get some mods done to my car first.
