Default Loud, electrical whining sound coming from fuel tank area.
most prominent when the car is first started. noticable most outside the car. the dealer is looking at it monday. just wondering what y'all thought. Fuel pump on it's way out? Fuel sending unit? BTW - the pitch of the tone goes down when the gas pedal is pushed and the noise goes away after about 15 minutes or so.

He told me doesn't mind wearing makeup, but he hates when they use lithium grease!!!

Default It's your fuel pump, audis just make that noise.
my car does it...its fairly normal, especially on lots of older Audis. An upgrade to the RS4 fuel pump might fix your problem though

Default Haha. Nice. I've never heard any other car do this. It's quite loud.
