<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/alcan_style.gif"></center><p>The deal on the recaros is...

To get matching front Recaro style seats (euro S4/RS4 style), powered, in leather or leather/alcantara to match the stock materials would cost about $2,400-$2,800 each, installed. (Including everything) Took me only a week to get that number after emailing and calling all across the country for the seats, brackets, alcantara, leather, etc etc etc. It would/will take time and effort to make them since I just wouldn't want the standard Recaro leather. Result is what you see above, though. :)

Oh, no airbags, and no heat, though. :P

Am I the only one actually considering this? (has been on my mind) But wait, Imola people, people (people?)... you can get yellow alcantara, too... and red.... and.....................

I want to put a bench seat in my S4. That's CLASS.

10-31-2000 08:03 AM

Does Recaro make a coin-op vibrating model?

hwj 10-31-2000 08:08 AM

Mmmm, blue Recaro.

Wow, that looks cool. Thanks for tracking down the info, Jessica. Certainly not in the budget for me right now, but who knows, down the line? Though I'm gonna need to slim down my pudgy American @$$ if I'm gonna squeeze into a sweet Recaro like that.

LCP 10-31-2000 08:09 AM

EACH!!?

Like the blinking eye sig.

dkirk 10-31-2000 08:13 AM

Jessica, are they lower then the standard seats?

I could really use some lower seats to fit a helmet in the car....I'm too tall otherwise.

Thanks,

doug

Taner Halicioglu 10-31-2000 08:14 AM

Whoa, pretty pricey... any idea on how much they weigh?

GRocky 10-31-2000 08:27 AM

pretty "ricey" ;-)

tompa 10-31-2000 08:36 AM

Only if you can mount your shift lever on the steering column.

jessica@s4.org 10-31-2000 08:38 AM

Not sure (but)

I'm sure someone could answer that question for me at some point.

jessica@s4.org 10-31-2000 08:41 AM

uhh no but I could find out if you just *must* know

GRocky 10-31-2000 08:44 AM

Poirot 10-31-2000 08:51 AM

Thanks for the reply....

That is kinda rich, but very nice indeed. If they were to offer heat as an option, I would have to get them, cost be darned!

Lovejoy

Mike B 10-31-2000 09:36 AM

Love 'em but not for 2.5-3k each.

BSOD 10-31-2000 09:38 AM

No way to get airbags in them? I figured if going through factory/OEM, you could still get them.

Not to say that they don't look sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet...I still like the idea of a full all-around-the-car air bag system.

Tristan 10-31-2000 09:40 AM

awesome seat. I would never give up my airbags though. too chicken...

Marcus Frost 10-31-2000 09:47 AM

WAY too high of a price, I'm getting the exact same ones for my SupraTT...

The Recaro "Style" series which are available on japanese-spec Supras - I can get both of them powered about as much as you are looking at paying for BOTH. And yes, they are leather with brackets (I have to get mine custom made).

Email me if you have questions.

AlphaMaleS4 10-31-2000 10:23 AM

60-70 lbs... with all the electrical options...

jessica@s4.org 10-31-2000 10:55 AM

Better than it was 8 weeks ago

jessica@s4.org 10-31-2000 11:07 AM

Ways to cut cost, I know...

... I assume you're going to buy un-upholstered seats? I haven't been able to find them with the power kit... I was as low as $4400 on the two after everything... could cut about $1500 if I could get them un-upholstered.

Sharon 10-31-2000 11:53 AM

Eek, stock seats weigh 55lbs

Moresnow .::..::..:: 10-31-2000 12:02 PM

BillK 10-31-2000 01:46 PM

MANUAL shift lever, that is (SIX on the tree?!?!)

Marcus Frost 11-01-2000 12:00 PM

No, FULL LEATHER ones, and I can even get power ones (2) for less...

Email me if you'd like to know from where.
