Default Lower control arm recall question --

I've STFA already but can't seem to find this out. I've already brought my car in for the recall and they told me that the control arms are 'fine' and weren't replaced. I know for a fact they aren't and have been bad for quite some time now.

If I brought the car to another dealer would they refuse to look at the control arms again because it was done once? I'm not too sure how that works and if anybody has some insight I'd greatly appreciate it.

TIA.

Default I had mine replaced no questions asked. Even if they are were fine a recall is exactly that.

The dealer is obligated to replace the part. Call AoA if they still refuse to replace the part.

Default They probably have record of the fact your car has been in for this, I would go back and explain to

the dealer what exactly is wrong with them. You can always contact AOA if you're not satisfied with the given answer.

The same thing happened to me - they checked out fine (but mine had been replaced at 30K under warranty earlier in life) so I trust that they're REALLY fine.

Good Luck!
