Default MAF gives no reading -- Dealer says "Too much alterations to the car to know what's wrong" ....

I say to them, replace the MAF and see if that fixes it .. They say they don't know if that's what's wrong .. I give the whole shebang, even down to how Audi knew there was a problem with 2000 MAFs and changed them to Hitachi.

I asked, So you guys are just gonna leave me with the MIL? .. Their answer, Yes.

Jack Daniels Audi can beat it.

Default If you know that's the problem...

go there, buy the part, install it with the service advisor watching, clear the code, and drive around with it. If that fixes it, hand him the bill for the part, and 1/2 hour of your "labor". :-)

Default Yep, FOMs will do this. I have a feeling I'm going to have to do this to get my axle fixed

once and for all... no interest in trying parts from the dealer side. They are content to let me wear out tires every 8-12K on one wheel.

Default They completely copped out of working on the car, didn't even attempt to fix it...

I would be fired from my job if that's the way I treated customers. I am going to have to buy the MAF myself .. Let me take a little poll to make sure time has shown that the error I got was for a dead MAF.

We logged MAF readings and the MAF readings didn't even move up from .52 g/s or so.
