Yup - use isopropyl alcohol to clean it, at least 91% alcohol IIRC

make sure to let it dry out, maybe over night - it should remove any residue that may be on the wire. Be careful when cleaning it - I would assume you could dip the sensor in the alcohol, maybe very gently move it around to work anything off of it - then let it dry...

Hey are you coming down for Avantfest?

Bimmer Love 06-27-2002 09:32 PM

when is that?

Bimmer Love 06-27-2002 09:37 PM

k. I'll try that. ps: what happens if the car is driven without the MAF?

we'd like to figure out if this is the cause
of the
"17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation"
DTC...
already checked the N75 Valve, looks fine.
switched divertor valves and vac lines to the
divertor valves 3 times...
checked all hoses and tbb for leaks/tears...
couldn't find any probs with the above,
yet the car still goes into limp... .4 bar max boost
cleared the code a million times already...
still comes right back after going WOT in
any high ratio gear at low rpm's

thinking if driving without the MAF in place
doesn't bring it up, then it's def the MAF,
and it'll be a sigh of relief knowing what
caused the problem.

That's cool. Maybe I'll see you again at the next meet. You talked to Jackie lately? Haven't seen

her on in awhile.

Bimmer Love 06-27-2002 09:59 PM
