So unplugged the MAF and finally got around to doing some logs...MAF unplugged. 003 i guess is no real use except for ignition timing. There were 3 different runs, sampling time kinda bites but whatever. what do you guys think. car runs pretty damn smooth now...nighta nd day from barely drivable borderline dangerous. so is my MAF wacked (its a hitachi FWIW)? i'm not getting any positie deviation codes running this way either (masking a problem with open loop control?)...
s4 doctors, whats your diagnosis (busted MAF, intake/boost leak, vacuum leak, N75 to wastegate line leak, more than 1 problem?)? TIA for any help and many thanks already for already input suggestions.
i'll have to log 003 with MAF in i guess too...maybe later today.
btw, these are th best logs i could get during lunchhour...i know they aren't the best...apology for that.

Yesterday's post

Default Sounds like a bad MAF :)

Easy enough fix. You still might get a +dev now and again, look at your requested and actual at time point three on your last chart.

Fix your MAF and we'll see if you have the other issue later.

Default Now verify it's the MAF. Plug it in and log 211 ...

My bad MAF logs - note the deviation in measured vs calculated air flow...

Default bad MAF = :-( not :-) !!! hehe..

You can't clean a hitachi MAF can you? i know the old ones used to get dirty and people cleaned them and the worked again. any such luck on Hitachi's? ugh...what causes these things to go bad? anyway, i did take a look at a log i did from before the hesitation started and my MAF was showing ramped up to 290 g/s....i'm only a stage 1...does that sound right or maybe a sign it was on its way out...

Default wow... 290 is way too high.

You can try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol. Could be some residue on the hot wire... can't hurt to give it a shot!

You logged 003? If the graph is that high I bet it's pretty irregular too. I'm guessing your readings should be around 250 or so, fyi.

sorry, x-axis is just time. You can see as RPMs increase, that is where Measured and Caculated split

Default yeah i did a log, but didn't post it, because i couldn't get a clean log

it kept shifting on me (probably due to ECU/TCU communication and the ECU tellign TCU the load is changing too quickly)...

so you mean i wasn't flowin mad air? haha.
