or at least Hero statusing :-) Huge thanks to Mark for doing my timing belt and waterpump yesterday. We decided to start at about 4:00-4:30 (let the car cool for a little bit) so it was a little bit after 5 when we started. The first half (taking everything off) only took us, or him to be more accurate, about 2 hours. Then we ran into a little snag.... ECS forgot to send me a Thermostat, and I overlooked that when I checked over the parts they sent me :-/ Luckily expstang had a timing belt kit he hadn't installed yet and we were able to snag his (thanks again chris!). This snafu actually worked out for the best because the first monsoon of the night started then and ended by the time we got back. The rest of the install and rebuild went pretty smoothly with the exception of a few small hang ups, forgot to put the fan back on (it was hidden when it first started raining and just overlooked by us both) and the crank wouldn't turn freely the first time Mark tried to test it after putting the TB on :-p When we were near the end of the install(it was about 11:30 - 12:00 at night) there was another huge rain storm... yes we were doing this out side, under this little deck overhang with a hole filled tarp on top. It was definitly an experiance to say the least.

This was actually the 4th time in less than a week that part has pulled apart the front end of someones car... if that isn't deserving of Hero status i don't know what is, haha. My only complaint about the whole night was that he didn't go for the trade of my powersteering pump pulley for his awe IC's :-(

Again, big thanks to Mark and expstang for coming through in a pinch. I just need to fix my ginormous boost leak and my car will be running perfect :-D
