Default This may be a dumb question but does DP's and aftermarket exhaust ease the stress on turbos

by allowing the air to travel more easily?

Default No......

A properly re-done system will flow air with less restriction. This will INcrease the temp delta across the turbine and INcrease the power output by the turbine. Thus, the turbo now does more Work; as it's creating more power.

The exact increase would be more difficult to quantify, but it would actually increase the "stress" on the turbo.

As mentioned below, a proper IC WILL decrease the work done by the turbo, as the pressure drop through the IC will be decreased.

Default less heat around the turbo (no precat) = less stress .. it will make the same boost regardless.

by "proper ic" you mean a small enough one .. is stock to big for you ?

s4-s have lost ko3-s more than the a6-s .. why .. bc of space constrains and HEAT

Default That's at a given wastegate duty cycle, though. IMO, you can reduce the dc to compensate for the

increased efficiency, you'll have lower temps with no pre-cats, and turbo longevity will improve...
