mbc only on stock chip? will it throw a code?
i dont want to turn up the boost, i just want to keep it at stock levels. i want to install it so its ready for when i throw the chip back in. if it will throw a code ill just wait till i do the chip.

Nope, probably no code. I've run MBC only on stock chip several times (when I had K03s).
The only code I consistently got with stock chip and MBC (only and in parallel) was a MAF too high code, which would trigger the ABS and ESP lights IIRC. This was due to flowing "madd air y0" with all my crazy mods. Piggie and a few others have experienced the same thing when heavily modified on stock chip.

what about TCD? when i throw my X in im going to set it at 18psi
i read that you posted that around 6k you would have intermittent throttle cut. should i rig up a tcd? i have some diodes laying around. 4.3 and 4.7 zener's.
