in the middle of argument..what HP are the stock internals good for ? (daily driver) thx

Many think that the forged internals are strong enough to run some high HP numbers.

Other say that 450 is max and many have gone over that and are still running.

Many believe the connecting rods are the weakpoint but the only failures have been high boost usage, really bad tweaking and non reaction to audible pinging, detonation and 60 seconds of that is sure to lay waste to a motor.

so the 2.7 come with forged rods ? and what do you consider high boost 22 and up ?

it's one thing to instaplode a bottom end. But putting some miles on the car is also going to show the strength of the bottom end. Maybe the bottom end can take 600bhp, but only for 5k miles? Tough to say, but thanks for taking a chance to find out

I think some consider high boost to be 22+ but probably more like 25 and up..

I assume that 25 is out of the reach for K04's... or is it ?

differing opinions........i'd say it's getting close to the limit for reliable K04's.
