November 23 was supposed to be his birthday....
Life is so unpredictable and it can change in a blink of an eye! I never thought this would be the case with Matthew (Matt). He loved legal challenges and fast cars, and it's such a sad irony that he was killed while doing nothing riskier than sitting in his living room with his cats Grace and Angel (he referred them as his girls).
Every time I think of Matthew, I have both tears and smile on my face. It seems like it was just yesterday when he talked about his dreams (including having a family, a house with 6 car garages, and a 944 Porsche he wanted to get this winter), but now he is gone......It's really sad!!! November 23 was supposed to be his 32nd birthday and he was looking forward to it (he was killed on November 16 and his funeral was held on November 22).
We never know what can happen at any given moment. Christmas is coming and I encourage everyone to reevaluate your to-do lists. Don't forget to tell your loved ones that you love them. If you haven't done it, go ahead and do so today--pick up the phones, email them, send them IMs, etc).
