More bull**** w/ my driveshaft, need AWers wisdom to help me

Mostly time. The others weren't going to have it to me in a timely manner,
Somebody else used this vendor before and was satisfied, so I know its not shady. The guy on the phone was very knowledgable as well and I'm pretty sure he was the guy that was putting it together. Raxles said they had no way of balancing the driveshaft either. And the $535 they quoted me was including shipping, which will get the thing to me in 3 days.

Pics inside
Here is a pic of my bad front CV from above the cats. You could literally shake it, it was SOO loose. The grease was so dehydrated, it was almost like putty.

No, you could replace the CV alone if you wanted. Its about a $100 part
I just figured since I was going to have the driveshaft out, I would replace the support bearing (which was much softer and weaker than the new one) and the rear CV as well, since it could go bad later. Totalling the parts, the price was inching up towards the same price as a rebuilt shaft, so I paid a little extra, but got the whole unit and saved some time and sweat.
Its the same principle as the CV halfshafts. You can replace the boot for $30 or so, replace the outer CV with a new one for about $150, or just buy a complete rebuilt unit for $90.

Here's mcmaster-carr driveshaft bolts. Much cheaper than oem and same grade, etc.

If you find the picture of my driveshaft cv joint gaskets, it's an old part number. Check with the dealer for a revised pn that's also much cheaper. I paid $20+/ea while the revised pn is only $7/ea.
FYI, I believe the driveshaft has a different pn for tiptronics.

here's all of my driveshaft pictures

I had that knocking during acceleration and I took off the cv at the rear differential cleaned the bearings and all the bad grease and just repacked it using commercial grade grease and the noise stopped. The only reason I didnt change the cv was because there was only normal wear on the bearing cages and no physical damage to the ***** and they were still very tight. Just throwing that out there for people who would want to try this before spending a bunch of money.
