I couldn't make the second day, which turned out to be a good thing. I picked up a nail on the third run (a nail? on the track? go figure...) and had to go home on the spare

this guy was talking about your S4...
his name was John and he really helped me undertsand what i wasn't doing correctly.
he mentioned either driving in or riding with you the day before. i rode shotgun in some hot laps w/ his NSX - crazy!

i hit apex on that corner probably 50% of the time...
it was actually easier for me to concentrate on driving when i didn't have an instructor blabbing my ear off.
the corner i found the most difficult was the turn in off the straight after the 4th corner of the banked oval. you approach at very high speed and it was hard to learn when and where to apply the brakes to carry enough speed into the tight right hander.
