Default MTM spring pics and opinions?

Doesn anyone have pics of their S4 with MTM springs? Wondering how dramatic that 30 mm looks, and interested in the handling reviews...are they overly hard for city driving?

Better yet, anyone with these springs in the DC/NOVA area who would meet up with me and my MTM chipped S4 for height/handling comparison?

Default just meet w/ your car.. not you!!! (only kidding....) more ...

... i have MTM w/stock shocks. they lower the car 27mm front and about 24mm rear. handling and body roll is much better than stock. ride quality is same as stock. that is it is NOT "buck-board". civil around town, and even hold it's own at the track (w/19mm rear anti-sway bar). i'm at a point where i can feel limitations w/ shocks at the track or "pushing-it" on the street - FW ramps and twisty canyons. so i'l upgrade these soon (still don't know what shox i'l use... someone make FULL adjustables!!??!! [comp & rebound]PLEASE!!)
like the spring rates, tho. BTW: neither the OEM or the aftermarket springs i've seen are progressive wound.

You should look into the MTM Koni shocks for those springs. Jim D. has them and likes them.

Default Re: MTM spring pics and opinions?

MTm makes two springs for the S4. One is a spring only upgrade and will duplicate the basic suspension set-up on the RS4. The other is a spring/koni shock set up. These are not the same springs. i have the spring only upgrade and have nothing but good things to report. Drop is 30mm in front and 20mm in rear. That puts fender height at 25.5" front and rear. Stock is 26.75f/26.25r. Handlling is superb. Ride is also well preserved, but is definitely "tighter" over bumps although it is not by any means harsh. In other words, you will feel everything, but it won't bruise your butt in the process. Very satisfied with looks, handling and ride.
