Coming back from lunch, two lane merge onto a highway, I'm in the left lane. I merge into the right lane of the highway, just cruisin' along, switching CD's. All of a sudden, I look up and there is a Black Cobra on my left and another (his exact twin) on my right, still in the merge lane. I look at both of them and they are both either looking at me or looking at each other through my windows - regardless, they decide to nail it at the same time. They hammer it and go flying off into traffic, swervin' like maniacs, leaving me in the dust. Fools if you ask me - I hope they got pulled over. I don't know what it is about Mustangs, but I can't stand the things - I must have been run over by one when I was a kid. Too bad there was traffic, I would have enjoyed eating their lunches (or at least trying to).

I've had three Mustangs and they are great cars for the money. Unfortunately, because they are so affordable, any dork can buy one and think he's "Mario Andretti" or something! I've noticed this happening even more so with Camaros!
If I was into street racing, I'd probably buy a Mustang/Cobra, and put a Vortech on it. Best Bang for the Buck! I don't expect to win many races in my Avant!
But I love my Avant! and have alot of fun in it anyways!

I swear, you can't stop at a *SINGLE* intersection without one of those damned things sitting in one direction or another.. usually there's 2 or more.. they're EVERYWHERE... old ones, new ones, 5.0's, cobras, GT's.. and they're all either driven by trailer queens or macho high-school boys who all think they've got the hottest thing around.. yeah, you and every other kid who just turned 16 or graduated from high school.

I take more pleasure from nothing other than stomping one of them.

I have shocked more than a few people who, like you, didn't expect the avant to blow their doors off.. but it does.. over and over and over... I had a kid in a blown Cobra pull up to me in a gas station last week and start smackin'.. I said.. "give me 6 turns on sunset blvd right now and I'll show you what's really going on".. he did and he lost bad. Mustangs handle like garbage unless you build the **** out of them (I had 3) and they're not easy to drive hard.

Last night... boxster S.. 3 miles of twisties at 12:30 am... bubye. Of course my Avant has full suspension, swaybars, chip, exhuast, intake and I've lightened it up a bit with 10lb Recaro seats and such... plus I GoTs MaD rOWiNg sKiLLs and even maDDer aPeXing sKiLLs...
