My battery went completely dead? How do you get it out?
I have a 2000 Audi S4 and it didn't do anything at all this morning. The last time I drove it was the night before. When I locked it the night before all of the lights turned off, everything looked completely normal just like every other time I've locked the car. The next morning I got nothing, no dome light, no keyless entry, and of course no engine start or anything. I'm guessing that the battery is dead, but I don't know what would cause it? It wasn't an unusually cold night, the last time it was driven was that night, the car is only 4 years old. Anyone know what would cause a hidden drain like that on the battery?
And how the hell do you get the battery out of the car to charge? It's jammed in there sooo tight, please help!
Thanks,
Jake

remove the weather stripping in the front of the plastic shielding and then...
gently slide/pull out the shielding. It is in two pieces that interlock at the center.
If you had an overhead light (map light) on, that would drain the battery. You wouldn't see that it was on if you walked away at night without looking and you definitely can't tell its on during the day if you look through the window.
