My car wasn't feeling as quick as normal, thought it might be just me getting used to the speed but
brought it up with the dealer at my 5K service. He told me they had to re-boot the computer for the fuel-injection, and to reset all the settings. I'm not all that up to speed with the technicals of my S4 but can anyone else elaborate on this better than my dealer could? Tx.

After a while you ECU learns you driving habits and engine response to the fuel you use.
If there is any kind of detonation due to bad fuel your engine will retard the timing do compinsate. After a while the engine will use that retarted setting as default. In order to force your ecu to relearn you have to unplug (reboot) it.

Anyone know if this occurs for 2.8 as well...
My 99.5 2.8QMS has been feeling slower lately. I had trouble with a Volvo S70 yesterday. Could the ECU need resetting or do I NEED an S4?
