Default my new clipped turbine wheels

just some shots of my turbine wheels for my turbos. they are precision ground by a CNC machine. still waiting on the rest of my parts to come back from the machine shop. that is all i can tell you now or i would have to kill you. hehehe<ul><li><a href="http://public.fotki.com/imolavirus/turbo_parts/">clipped wheels</a></li></ul>

What benefit does that provide? I'm mechanically challenged, sorry.

it makes the wheel a little more aerodynamic so it spools quicker. but it will still reach maximum boost, just quicker

Default You do lose some top end by clipping, but it's a good trade for spool time

But it depends what the car is mainly used for..

AUTOX or tight course the quicker spool is probably warranted

Drag racing, you control where the car is in the RPM's, so clipping might hurt a bit in the 1/4

Oh and day to day driving clipping is probably a bit nicer for those passing situations.

Just my $02 on this matter

Would this be due to their size and the fact they are designed to spool up quick as it it ?
