That stinks...
Honestly I had to do it twice...I guess the grease didn't make it to the right spots the first time. Plus I used a LOT of it.
Perhaps your noise is coming from a different place. With the bottom dash cover off you can easily tell if it is the steering shaft universal joint or not.

Auto parts store.
You need the aerosol spray on kind with the thin plastic tube to get it in the right place.
