My VAG 1551 slip from the dealer
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/1551_slip.jpg"></center><p>I spoke with the technician who worked on my car when I went to pick it up. I don't know about the dealership, but this guy was very helpful and cooperative.
He also mentioned that what mod has been done does not get entered into the central computer unless the car is fixed with the failure linked to that particular mod.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3559"><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/jyoteen_sig3.gif" border="0"></a>

The dealer writeup
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/bill_yikes.jpg"></center><p>Notice the handwritten estimates on the labor for replacing the turbos. The turbos themselves, not listed, cost around $4000.
BTW, the service advisor, himself has a chipped 1.8TQ, and mentioned that he got slammed with the charge himself as his turbo went on him during the warranty period.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3559"><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/jyoteen_sig3.gif" border="0"></a>

any time that you unplug power from the ECU it will record that there was low voltage.

oops my mistake. I guess the over estimate can go to Alcons
That Boxster S looks better and better. Too bad it doesn't have a rear seat.
You know that shifter does get in the middle (Gone in 60 seconds reference).<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=3559"><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/jyoteen_sig3.gif" border="0"></a>

I'm surprised to see that you have the 551A ECU (more)
I understand that Euro S4 are being equipped with the 551D since about 10/99 and now even come with the 551E (I've had 551D on both my S4's). Is this an ECU you got from your tuner or is it the original one?
I'm not really a specialist on ECU's, but from what I've heard there have been improvements on the newer ECU's. Or could it be that the 551A is exclusively for the US version? Any ideas?<p><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/avantside1.jpg" BORDER=0>
