My windshield/headlight washer fluid tank is leaking! Immediately after filling the tank, I can see
water dripping out the bottom of the bumper. This should be covered under warranty, but do I need to put the stock chip back in before leaving the car at the dealer for such a simple fix?

Common problem.
It is usually the headlight washer pump. Mine was done under warranty. Sometimes it has been a cracked reservoir or a broken hose. I'd swap the chip. It would be worth the time just in case they took it for at test drive.
