if you want your instructions and the current cd that is playing information to still show up on your cluster display, then you will need a TMC/CAN bus box. (approx cost $150).

Without this TMC box, the unit will definately still display all turn by turn information on it's screen as well as current cd/track/fm station information, but without a TMC Box, that info will not wind up between your speedometer and Odometor as well.

access to a Vag-com to program it all when its done...and to add to some of the things that bruck mentioned, Although the Plug and play adaptor makes the install a little easier its still not exactly plug and play at all so u will still need to carefully read installation instructions...Also regarding the Cd's, You will need to purchase modified cd's in order for the European unit to display U.S maps, If the cd's u purchase aren't modified i will gladly borrow u one of my Cd's to load in the Nav+ before inserting yours

Even though its not need I'd highly recommend a TMC/Can Gateway...Mine just came in yesterday...I didn't like the fact that my Radio/Cd info wasn't displayed on the cluster with out the Tmc...also having the navigation directions also displayed on the Cluster is a great feature and another reason to look into it
