OK..I'll have to take a gander at that...Any other hints?...
did you just have to drain the diff or the whole tranny...info on stasis of b6 just shows diff ~1L. Also how much torque on housing and driveshaft bolts?

It's not that bad at all...
Even with stock downpipes, just slip the exhaust apart and push the rear section as far back as possible, get the propshaft undone, remove the 6 torx bolts on the end plate, pull out end plate likely the Torsen will come with it. You will want to try and get the end cover and Torsen apart, a quick tap solves that usually. You will flex the stock downpipes out of the way, use those flex sections for all they are worth. Remove end cover, then Torsen, then pop the new 4:1 in, end cover, bolts, propshaft, exhaust back together. It's a good time to replace the gearbox oil, but if you don't just check that it's up to level. Then enjoy Quattro Plus
