FMIC - from what I have been told by a few tuners, requires new software. There is a small lag associated with adding a larger intercooler that the ECU has to compensate for.
A new FMIC will definitely help keep intake charge cooler than the stock ICs. An FMIC will also help keep from getting heat soak.
You should feel some more power throughout the band.
