Need to rent timing belt tools, or does anyone have the list of most important
I know i need the cam lock bar 3391 and 3242. which others are imperative, thanks. btw, i was going to buy from zdmak

not recommended, but my buddy and i did a timing belt job on his S4 avant
without a crank pin or cam lock bar and it came out perfect and even had it rechecked by a professional and he said it was spot on, but we are two crazy detail oriented people.
so in other words it can be done with out those two specific tools.

you need
cam lock bar/crank lock pin
Set of hex wrenches
usual supply of wrenches/sockets (metric)
torque wrench (& Bentley's torque specs)
impact gun (not required, just makes it quicker)
couple of buckets (for coolant)
some patience. And beer.
Nothing out of the ordinary really. And you can get the cam lock bar/crank pin off ebay pretty cheaply.
