As usual I have no luck. This morning I was packing up my stuff to go to the Putnam Driving Event. Everything was going good and I was looking forward to some fun driving this weekend. Then as usual my lucky streak kicked in. When I got in the car to drive to work the check engine light came on. Great! Of course this could not of happened a couple days ago!

I have had a couple mods done recently that might or might not be the cause. I would appreciate any advice or input, so here is what has been done. 3 weeks ago I put in a new ECU with an ABT chip that I got from e-bay. After installing the ECU the car ran great and no warning lights or codes. The car ran fine for 3 weeks. Then 3 days ago I had down pipes and a cat back exhaust put on by Auto Assets here in Columbus. The car ran fine for 2 days no warning lights or codes. Then this morning the check engine light came on.

My questions are, would the exhaust install cause the check engine light to come on? What might be the cause? Any input here will be appreciated!

They could have messed up your O2 sensors with the DP install, VAG it.

Could be EGT sensors too. Those are futzed with during a DP install.
