Need some ideas for my V1 radar install.......(more)
I have seen the install with the aluminum bracket mountred on the rear deck. But if any of you guys have some other good mounting ideas i am open to them.
Also, i have the secondary display, and i have noticed in some pictures that you guys have them flush with the interior or in the cup holders and stuff. It would be great if there was someone in the western new york area (buffalo/rochester) could help me with this sort of install, but if anyone else can direct me to some detailed instructions for this mount as well, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks

yup, the power cord is tucked up under the headliner...
I used a credit card to stuff it in there. The cord goes across the headliner, down the A pillar, into the fuse junctions. There, I have the power block that the V1 and the remote come with. Then the remote wire is stuffed behind the aluminum trim and travels up under the steering column.
I removed the top half of the steering column cover, cut a notch in the middle the same width as the remote display. This way, the remote sits into the column cover and does not block the driver information display.

I don't think it has, no. I guess if I can't tell a difference, then it hasn't...
...but I don't drive at night very much, so I don't know for sure. If the sensor still gets the light signal, and the dimming feature works by changing optical properties of the mirror in some way, then I would assume it would work as intended. It's easy to make the change and try it out, just be gentle when twisting it off.
