Need some info: K04 Mandatory Upgrades
I want to upgrade my turbos to k04s when mine go bad, but I am curious what else I MUST upgrade. I know all of the different available upgrades, but if i were to buy the k04s separate, what else do i need to run them effectively. My engine upgrades that I have so far are as follows:
APR stage 1 chip;
K/N drop-in (soon to be K/N+Darintake;
12 Piece Silicone Hose Kit;
I am currently trying to find a cheap Borla exhaust.....
SO then.... what do I NEED>>>>>

only thing you *absolutely* need is inlet pipes
You can run K04s on K03 tuning, and since APR isn't very aggressive, you may not *need* anything else.
I would recommend an MBC in parallel w/ your N75, though, to cap boost and make sure you aren't getting too lean.
It won't run great, but it'll run.
What else you want to do from there is up to you.
STFA for "3-" and "stage 3 fueling" to learn more about what you need to maximize the potential of the K04s.

Can i use the inlet pipes in my Silicone piping set or do i need different ones; and as far as the..
.. MBC goes, does it have to be a specific one made for an S4 or can i use a standard aftermarket MBC.. and what would i limit my boost to... THanks

any MBC will do, but you can get a basic one through VAST for relatively cheap
I'd start the MBC out at about 12psi. You may get underboost deviation codes, so you'll have to experiment. Find someone with ECUx or VAG-COM to log while you slowly crank it up.
The inlet pipes are separate from your silicon piping set; it's what goes from the silicon hose on the y-pipe to the turbos.

+1 and hardware kit
I am going down this same path.
Just grabbed a Stage III- ECU and FPR.
Next time I tackle engine getting dps and intercoolers.
After that a decent exhaust, then finish with someones fueling kit
