Neuspeed/Borla early impressions...LONG

Sorry for the length, it's also cloudy and humid hear in Connecticut.
Well I installed my Neuspeed/Borla exhaust this morning. I will try to convey my impression and how it compare to the APR and the UUC/VM1.
Fitment:
All three of these units have really good fitment. As far as how it looks from behind or when you look under the car from behind, the nod would have to go the VM1. The VM1 looked like it really belong on the car. The area that concerned me the most is going around the rear differential. The APR did hang a lot lower than the VM1 and a tad lower than the Neuspeed/Borla.
Looks:
As for looks, they all look good, I mean what are we talking about? The tips of course, the tips are actually the only thing that really should be seen. Once again, I liked the VM1's tips better. As for the APR and the Neuspeed/Borla, well flip a coin :-).
Sound:
Here we go again, I loved the sound of the VM1. The VM1 could be kind of loud when the car was cold or when you're hard on the throttle, but it was never too loud in the cabin of my car. The APR was just too loud for my tastes at normal driving speeds (just driving around town). The Neuspeed/Borla is just a little louder than stock. I took a ride in Craig's S4 that had the MTM installed. Craig and I took my car with the VM1 installed then we took his car out that had the MTM installed. The MTM sounded like the stock exhaust, we really couldn't hear the MTM. The Neuspeed/Borla on the other hand does have a low growl at idle, and a little growl at low rpm, just a tad louder than stock. With this in mind, to me the exhaust note does not really change, it's just deaper with the Neuspeed/Borla. If you listen, you can hear the stock exhaust when you're on the throttle, I could also hear mine at idle when I stood outside of the car.
Highway Speeds:
Here, all of these exhausts sound about the same to me. I've heard complaints about the VM1 droning at highway speeds but mine never droned on the highway.
My wife said that the Neuspeed/Borla was a little louder than stock but not as loud as the VM1, hey, that's what I said :-).
Most of my impressions were from inside my car. I never heard the APR or the Neuspeed/Borla from outside of the car other than at idle. I'm sure my neighbors will not notice the Neuspeed/Borla as much as they noticed the VM1. I'm very happy with this exhaust and it does look cool. I wonder if I could get someone to take the "Neuspeed" that's engraved on the tips and engrave a little penguin in it's place :-). That would really be cool.
I hope this helps someone.

Here's a better place for a penguin, than the exhaust tips...

I wish I could say yes but...
I really have not been able to tell any differences in performance in any of them.
It does seem like the turbos' spool faster. To tell you the truth, I really wanted a deeper sounding exhaust, if there are any performance gains then that's a bonus for me.
BTW, the tips of the Neuspeed/Borla are actually offset to follow the taper/curve of the bumper, the APR and the UUC/VM1 went were straight across.

Glad I ordered one!
Your description sound exactly like what I am looking for. I just ordered one and now I can't wait to get it. I wanted an exhaust note similar to the M3 (deep but not overly aggressive). Sounds like this exhaust fits the bill.
Laser 2000

Do you have a chip? I'm surprised you can't notice differences.
I found the APR chip w/ my APR exhaust to have a lot more high end power and pull to the redline. I also find the power across the RPM band to be a lot smoother and consistent throughout... Seems most others w/ aftermarket exhausts also find these benefits too. Any other Neuspeed exhaust owners??
(JoshK?) BTW JoshK, please post here on your progress and let me know if you are coming down or not. (fyi--BenM, we may not be around)

Garrett with Neuspeed/Borla exhaust is much more response than GIAC alone
I can feel the extra 12-15 bhp...by my butt dyno...it puts a **** eating grin on my face every time I punch it.
