New 2001 S4 advise??
I just bought a 01' S4 2.7T. I love it so much! I was wondering what the best performace chip money wise and HP wise would be? Also would I need a trans chip too?? It is tiptronic. Also what would be some good exhaust to go with that is not outragous? Really any help at all on any performance upgrades would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

Get a used chipped ECU in the classifieds. Get a used exhaust from the classifieds. You don't need a
chipped TCU, but if you do, look for one in the classifieds or get it from GIAC, since they're the only U.S. company I know that makes a modded TCU for the B5 S4 Tiptronic. If you're a ballar, fly your car to Switzerland and Sportec will custom tune your TCU for you (or you can send your TCU to them like ChuangS4 did), but you'll need their custom ECU tuning as well. Personally, I don't think the modded TCU is necessary.

Thanks so much for the advise!! Everyone is very helpful. I will start my searching. Would you recommend a GIAC over a AWE? Also when does everyone get the big tune-up. Timing belt, chain..etc? I have 67k now.
