Default new to the forum, found the linked topic and posted...

but i think i may have posted in an archive, still not to familiar with the format of this site...

here is my problem, i have a 2000 S4, A-Box, APR tuned, 93 octane
i get a hesitation at 3300rpm and up regardless of gear but, mostly evident in 6th gear, never tried in 1st gear either, haven't VAGed it yet, hopefully will do that tonight... but as of right now, no CEL is thrown... i switched it back to stock, and it seems that the hesitation is gone, but haven't gotten it on the highway yet... i don't have a boost gauge just yet, waiting for H20 as i have heard AWE sells theirs for next to nothing there...

funny thing is, the car just started doing this recently, after a "tune up" (spark plugs, air filter, oil & oil filter change), actually a week after the tune up...

seems to me that the problems in the linked post are related to GIAC, so don't feel bad, if it is the programming, you GIAC users aren't alone...

i'm not sure of the program version the APR chip since i bought it used... hopefully i'll find that out soon, and if need be, update and see if that cures anything!!!

does anyone have any OTHER insight on this???

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2444147.phtml</a

What plugs were put in? Also "never tried in 1st gear". I am confused by that..

Could be the primary O2 sensors, or a crappy Bosch MAF.

Default i try to not ever let the RPM's go above 3k while in first, call me a sissy lol... plugs were NGK

BKR7E'S GAPPED AT .032 is what is in it right now... before the tune up I had BKR7E's also gapped at .032 and had no problems...

EDIT: reason for the plug change was i read that going with 7E's while chipped is better because they are a stage colder than 6E's...

Default wouldn't either of those throw a CEL though?? after reading that thread i posted, it seems i'm not

the only one with this problem, go figure, i'm getting responses on other forums like; could be blow back, MAF, plugs gapped wrong, bad coil pack, clogged cat, boost leak (which i really really doubt since i replaced the TBB with autobahn88 waiting on samco to come in, f-hose with samco, stock diverters with 710N, and replaced all the vacuum lines between the diverters cause they were looking a little dingy...

Not necessarily. O2's can be bad for a while without triggering a CEL.
