Default New to the forum. question about remanufactured ecu...

Hey guys to introduce myself... i recently bought a 2000 nogaro 6 spd cold package with 59k... I've had my 01.5 Santorin TIP for over a year and it is now for sale. I've been around the forum researching for about 3 years but just recently signed up.

my nogaro's ecu has part# 8D0 997 551 DX which i learned from searching that it is a remanufactured ecu... what exactly does this mean? i posted a thread on azine about help because i was unsure if i was chipped with a boost leak or stock. i ran the ecu in my friends car and found that it runs 9-10 lbs of boost so it is def. at stock settings. i am a little iffy about chipping this ecu and i'm considering selling this and buying an already chipped Abox. is anyone familiar with this ecu and could enlighten me if there are any differences from stock? could someone post a picture of a stock Abox perhaps zoomed to the "chip area" mine looks like it is "on legs" or something and im thinking this WAS chipped and was brought back to stock. basically i am a littleconfused and any insight would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Default thanks... that helps but my remanu chip is "on legs" aka..

the metal prongs holding it in have it elevated about 1/2" above the rest of my ecu... hmmm?
