I like to think I'm pretty good. Not up to building hybrids or anything, but ok :-)

for your first time......i'd say probably 4-6 hours

Default All suspension work can be a DIY. Check the article in the tech section

and see whether you think you can do it. All you really need are some wrenches and sockets (and breaker bars are nice). Be sure that you have a torque wrench, though. I'd allocate much more than 4-6 hours, though, for your first time.
