NOT the best of mornings...
so those of you who were here last night remember my "charge pressure deviation" DTC on my STOCK S4...well today I did a AC-22 run and got 0-60 in 7 seconds...well all my worst fears are confirmed.
While driving to the dealer the car started making a sound VERY like the "siren" sound which was my toasted turbos...BUT...I'm hoping this whole thing can simply be traced to a bad hose or valve.
I'm driving some GMC monstrosity mini-van which demonstrates that they havent learned anything since the 1968 Dodge Van that I had...if anything this piece o s**t handles WORSE!
I'll let you all know if I hear anything soon...poop!

yea, it obviously has a boost leak and...
we checked it with the vag and it was clearly laboring to make requested boost. Something has gone off over the last few days and now it's BIGTIME off.
Dealer was very responsive and rushed me into a rental car...SURE hope it's just a hose or DV or N75 or something.

yea no kidding...if ever a car had the spirit of a lemon THAT is the car...
3900 miles, turbos replaced, front bumper repainted, back in the shop for possible SECOND turbos...
I was looking at the Porsche Turbos in the showroom then suddenly got a horrible chill and had to go sit down...I won't be buying a Porsche in the forseeable future given my experience with the "quality" of VAG.
That F355 couldn't have been any worse than this except I'd have to shell out the cash to fix it.

those things were brand new when they replaced the turbos but...
I'm hoping its something like that...given the resemblance to the original "siren" sound (but really was more of a WOOOOSH of a boost leak) I'm thinking something like that is a leading candidate.
Watch...the thing that killed my turbos the first time might have been a piece of DV and the replacement ones tear apart and drop a piece into the NEW turbos.
Now wouldn't THAT be ironic!
