Default NY/NJ's nicest driving spots????

I live right across the bridge from NYC and am sick of driving the same highways over and over again. Anyone know of any really nice places to take a weekend ride? I know of some nice places about 45min away from the city, but want to take a differnt trip (45min is relative to traveling at 65 tho...heh)
Thanks<p>~~f3dex

Default Yes, in Sussex County

My favorite place to drive the S4 is in New Jersey is in Sussex County, near Vernon Valley (or Mountain Creek as it is now called). Lots of fun, twisty mountain roads. Take Rt 23N to Rt 515.

Highway 9 W up the Hudson River Valley north of NYC towards Highland Falls and The United States Military Academy (West Point). My brother went to West Point and I thought that area was absolutely gorgeous.<p>"Next time your flight lands safely, thank an air traffic controller...."

Default My best races up there were all on Hudson Pkwy. Dangerous weaving but fun.
