OBDII programming. When will it be available from other tuning shops???
Are there more tuning shops that are moving to DPP like APR? Since APR only offers DPP on "some" of the cars, why wouldn't more tuning shops spend some time and $ (in development) trying to compete or offer the same service? This is 2004, right??
I understand that I bought a more expensive car and that I really shouldn't complain about the $ I have to spend to get a little more HP. But the fact is, I am still in the dark about why anyone would want to buy a completely different ECU for over a $1k OR ship their ECU somewhere so they can solder a chip on to a stock ECU and void the warranty all together (yes, I know some dealers are more lenient than others when it comes to this).
Maybe I'm just not up to date and there are some tuning shops that are "secretly" developing this?
I am not trying to blast ANY tuning shops, but can someone shed some light on this subject?
I would like to also hear from the tuning shops since I know they read these forums.

...
You have to remember that the B5 S4 is a "lame duck". Not in production anymore so most tuners are probably going to be focusing on newer vehicles. OBD programming for us will come later, if at all.
