OE specs call for laser platinum spark plugs, why not go iridium??? ....
#2
IIRC, the write-ups are for the Denso Iridium plugs (which are ~$13 ea); the one's you speak of are
the NGK Iridiums. I put the NGK's in my 3.2L Acura, and so far are great plugs but I have no experience on them in a turbo Audi engine. I don't see why they wouldn't work, and I even called NGK technical and asked them for a part # for Audi application of these plugs and they said they should work fine. They might not last as long as the laser platinums, but they should last as long as they should be in an S4 (which is no longer than 40k IMO).
