OEM RS4 accordian hose part number 078 129 627 P Why does it appear to be missing a inlet port??

Default OEM RS4 accordian hose part number 078 129 627 P Why does it appear to be missing a inlet port??

What do i need to take care of this problem??

You need to cut/ grind a hole in it and then put the gromit from stock hose in .

is it bad to just cap off the hose?

That's no problem I just never figured I thought it was a direct fit.

Many, including myself, are running that way. I've been that way for 3 or so years.

All you would have to do is run a vacum line directly to the booster

Default As for why, IIRC, the B5-RS4 was only in production until the 2001 model year.

Which is why they are all on Bosch MAF and shares similarities with the earlier S4 models (2000-2001) as oppose to the later ones (2001.5-2002).

And IIRC, I think the brake boosterline has something to do with the F-hose, which was eliminated in the 2001.5 and 2002 MY due to failure issues. I think it was just like the difference in TBB setup between the S4s and the RS4s, RS4s had the much more reliable metal F-hose instead of rubber ones.
