Oil change question - Does Audi replace oil filter with every oil change - Rector say factory (more)
don't cover it on my 22500 oil change service.
(and i seem to confer with bentley manual)
now some guys say (2 days ago) i think frank and innovator that the the oil take some where 7 to 8 bottles(at my 15000 it take 8 bottles for my car too).. wonder what is the typical bottles needed w/o replacing oil filter? (do you guys recommend paying for the extra oil filter every time for oil change?)

Always change oil filter when changing oil!
Some of the differences we see in oil capacity is probably caused by the dealer using/selling the A4 filter, instead of the S4 filter. The A4 one is larger, and would hold more oil.

I would certianly agree with that! With synthetics, I'd rather change only the filter, than only
the oil!
But I prefer to change both, every 3000 miles. Why go cheap on the main maintainance item whose neglect of responsible for most engine wear and damage?
