Oil consumption - used over a quart during break-in - anyone have this rate of consumption?

Oil consumption - used over a quart during break-in - anyone have this rate of consumption?
I check the oil the other day and noticed I was a bit below the 1 quart low marker, not so good. This was with about 1300 mi on car. This seems like rather high consumption.

I used /13 qt/1k miles. 1 qt down is off dipstick!! more

First, Audis use oil, generally. My last 3 (1/4 million on each) used 1 qt/2.5k from new to the end.
Two, my S4 used just under 0.5 qt in the first 1k miles.
Three, when i added, it was just below the bottom of th hash ("too low"). I added just less than 1/2 qt and OVERFILLED it. So I'm not sure what the 1 qt low mark is, i dont think there is one. more like a 1/3 low mark.
Usage should decrease if you brak it in well.

oil light in 50 km after service- 2009 B8 Quattro 2.0
Just has my car serviced, 50 km later oil warning light empty. Mmi says low, need to add 1 l. Car normally using 1 l per 1500 km and mech cannot work out was is wrong. Also had to replace could and 4 x spark plugs as foiled (were only 2 months old). $2k spent and still no fix. Help

On the oil front - my 2018 Q7 is the first audi that I've had that "uses" oil - I know that most Turbo motors use more oil than most normally aspired ones - that should be considered. The 2.0 in my S3 has not used as much oil - again this is anecdotal.
