Ok I just had a clicking sound comming from mine bone stock engine.

Default Ok I just had a clicking sound comming from mine bone stock engine.
Sounds like coins in the wasing machine but at at much faster rate but not as loud.

I know you might think its ping and I thought so too, but on a bone stock engine?

The sound comes right after the cold morning start, and fades after 10 sec.

Anybody have anyidea?

Default Lifters perhaps? Certainly not "pinging" or detonation.
What weight oil are you using?

Water pump going south? pfn had his go out and it sounded like marbles bouncing around...

Been using 5w30 for a long time and never had problems.

I had lifter clatter with RP 5w30 at the track. How old is your oil?
