ok so when u open the drivers door just like any other door it should show that the door is open...

ok so when u open the drivers door just like any other door it should show that the door is open...
on the trip display and the interior lights should come on right? well my car didnt do that so i found out the sensor is in the door lock i just finished changing the lock and im having the same issues, when i open the door the car doesnt know its open what else can it be? the part # i changed is 8D1-837-015-F (Door Lock)

I suspect there are two sensors...
..one for the console display, another for the dome light.
I have an intermittent problem where my dome light will not go off after opening/closing the passenger door. Despite the fact that the console correctly displays the door being open or closed.
