Ok, someone check my math

Logged the car last night. I'm running Giac X, the latest code (308x or something like that.) Max requested was 2040 mbar, which is 29.5877 psi. Ambient was somewhere around 980 mbar, which is 14.2137 psi. Subtract the two and I get about 15.4 psi. (I don't have a boost gauge yet, and yes, I'm working on getting one.)

Does that sound about right? Granted, VAGCOM coulda missed the actual max requested, but I figure it's close to that.

you are suppose to subtract 1000 from mbar to get to bar. And then look at your actual boost to see

what you are boosting...

2040-980= 1060mbar relative boost, which is just slightly over 1bar or just slightly over 14.5psi

so yeah, without doing any/much math, that sounds about right.

doing the math:
1060/1000*14.5... = 15.37

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%282040-980%29+mbar+in+pounds+per+square+inch&btnG=Sea rch</a
</u

no, you're supposed to subtract "ambient pressure", which in his case is 980

"1000" is just an average value used near sea level, but can vary.

Oh...makes sense now feels like an idiot -->
