At the dyno day on 9/25 (in CT, see link below), I am going to dyno some variations of with and without Aquamist and with and without Dump pipes (exhaust cut-outs).

I had planned to do:
- 93oct with and without Aquamist (both with dumps closed)
- 93oct with Dumps open and closed (both with Aquamist on)

I already have the Aquamist variations covered, but I am curious about the Dumps...

Do you think I should do dumps open and closed with 93oct, or with Race gas?


Here are the two options:

A.)
1.)93oct, AM on, Dumps closed
*then open dumps*
2.)93oct, AM on, Dumps open
*then change gas to 104oct*
3.)104oct, AM on, Dumps open

The above shows the difference due to dumps on 93oct. Then on 104oct, I don't concern myself with differences in variables, I just go for max power, ie no changes.

B.)
1.)93oct, AM on, Dumps closed
*then change gas to 104oct*
2.)104oct, AM on, Dumps closed
*then open dumps*
3.)104oct, AM on, Dumps open

The above shows 93oct -vs- 104oct (both with dumps closed) and then shows the difference due to dumps on 104oct.


So which would you rather see the results from:
A.)
- Dumps open -vs- closed (on 93oct)
- 93oct vs 104oct (with dumps open)

B.)
- 93oct vs 104oct (with dumps closed)
- Dumps open -vs- closed (on 104oct)


I've already dyno'd the diff between 93 and 104, so that is of less interest to me. Thus it comes down to whether I want to see the differece due to the dumps while on 93oct, or see it while on 104oct?

What are your thoughts?
