Okay with all the control arm talk, I have a n00b question...
I have some rattling, that seems to be mostly from the rear. A while back 034 told me my CAs need replacing. But when I did a coilover swap a week ago, I couldn't, for the life of me, tell which CAs are shot! All the rubber looked okay.
So the n00b question is... How can I tell what needs replacing? Can someone post a pic that would help me out? Is it true that the ones to go bad first are usually uppers?

Check the rabbit ear springs on the rear brake pads. Make sure that both ears of each spring are
seated securely and not misaligned(i.e. sticking out into the open space at the top of the caliper.
I just had this issue and it drove me mad until I figured it out...

Nope. Pads look good. The rattling also comes during braking...
I lifted the rear and pushed the sway bar around but it was too hard to see if that could be the issue.
I also zip-tied the wiring around the PhatBox I installed a while back.
Still the rattling exists.
So this weekend, I'm going to go back to stock sway bar links. Hopefully that'll do it. Otherwise, maybe I need to replace my control arms. Unfortunately I can't tell whether the bushings are shot, even when I'm looking right at them!
