Default Okay...here's the scoop...

Pretty much the basic stuff you're entitled to is everything you paid for the car plus any rental fees minus depreciation for the mileage UP TO the first time the car went in for the problem (in my case 2600 miles)

In addition the lawyer's fees get paid separately.

Now if we had gone to court, we would have sued for damages etc...what I REALLY wanted was simply to get out of the car.

By simply settling, Audi doesnt admit anything and the car goes back to them and they pay off the lease and refund all my money.

Default Congratulations...but nothing we can stand on in court if or when our time comes

Smart on AoA's part, the bean counters I am afraid are going to win out on this one.

Default Did they charge you a "usage fee" or anything?

I hope it was a straight forward buy back where you didn't pay anything and you got your money back?

Default Congrats and just wanted to say thanks.......

for all of the time and effort you put into this board. Although I don't post often, I always took the time to read your posts (even the repetitive ones toward the end :-)

Also, it is really nice to see that you received excellent advice & help from another AWer from our little community. My wife recently received her new Boxster S and has me dreaming of the day the remaining teenagers leave and I might be able to purchase a Carrera or a 911 (hehe..previous posts).

Keep us posted...you are always welcome..and thanks again.

Default the thing they're entitled to is...

depreciation based on a formula which is the purchase price divided by 120,000 which equals the cost per mile their entitled to deduct UP TO the point where the car had problems.

So my car began to had problems at 2600 miles = $863 that they deduct from the settlement (fair enough, I DID use the car). That's in California lemon law so is within their rights.

http://caag.state.ca.us/piu/lemon.htm</a

Default No 993 C4s?

The 993 door closes with a mechanical clunk.
There is a white one in Pacific.
I am just teasing.
Are you ordering the 996 C2, at MSRP?
