Default This one hurt..... need some advice, please ---->

Well, I got my Neuspeed 19mm swaybar installed today. Let me tell those of you who haven't done it yet, this is a pain in the a$$. My brother (mechanical engineer) and I (physician) took several hours to do it, and it is not like we're retarded either. Neuspeeds instructions suck, and they don't have very good diagrams included.
I'll be honest with you guys, the hardest part was raising the car up onto the stands. The stock jack wouldn't get it up high enough, even for the lowest setting. Well, our ingenious solution was to put a couple of bricks under the stock jack and see if that would help. Well, the jack slipped and as the car was quickly falling back to Earth, the metal brace at the top of the jack cuts into the strip of plastic molding below the doors. No pics yet. Well, it's kinda ugly with these two, 2 cm gashes in the plastic, and I was wondering what to do.
1) I've heard of some kinda blue putty that would match the body color. Anybody know anything about this? What it's called? Where to get it? How much?
2) Do I have to replace it? If so, how much?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yan
P.S. The car handles quite nicely with the new swaybar.

Default Ouch! Had a similar experiance trying to change a flat tire on my E36 M3...

the standard BMW 3-sreies jack is an ***-backwards design. It doesn't easily fit into the hole in the frame, so I popped the side molding off as i was changing the tire. Fortunately, a swift kick popped it back into place.

How would you have taken the wheels off with ramps?

Default Sounds like a case of the WRONG tool for the job...

Get some ramps or some larger 1-2 ton jacks...IMO.

Default The car fell off the jack before we had the stands in place. ---->

Stands worked fine once we got the car up on to them. Did everyone take off their wheels when doing this mod, or just me?

Default Like I said above......

We put two bricks under the jack, to help get room, to put the stands under the car when the jack was fully extended (the stands weren't fitting, even in their lowest setting, with the jack on the ground and fully extended). Everything started out ok, but after the car was an inch or two off the ground, the bricks and jack slipped out from under the car. As the car was falling, the metal lip of the jack caught the bottom molding and cut two gashes into it.

Default Also, one more question ----------->

Is it correct that the new addition to the kit is supposed to connect from the subframe bracket to the hole just below where the polyeurethane bushing connects?
Just want to make sure. Like I said the instructions aren't great. Thanks.

2 ton floor jack is cheap and way superior to the stock jack.
