Default how many mounting points in the 1.8T ?

S4 seats use (4)four point mounting.
anything else would require custom brackets.

Why would they not fit? I'm pretty sure they fit. The cars share most parts.

Well, that is B5 platform to B6 platform so I can understand why they wouldn't fit

Default did you look in the search at all?

i've gone into a lots of depth about this in the past....
bottom line, s4 into 2.8, simple swap (both power).
s4 into 1.8, not easy.
there needs to be an extra rail welded onto your car. then you'd have to hook up the power. point being, unless you got the seats for free, you'd be better off getting aftermarket seats because of the installation cost. and you'd be reluctant to find a shop willing to weld them into your car!
why do you want them? because of the style? because of the power? if its the style, get a4 sport seats. they are the exact same, just not powered. if you want leather/alcantara, go to a local upholstry shop and get it redone. usually it will run about $1200-1500 to have your seats finished in alcantara (at least around chicago). another low factor about s4 seats is the weight. those things are beasts. you could get some sparco milanos (very nice seats) for about 600-700 each and not only have superior support, but also save tons of weight. i could go on and on, but i think this is enough.
