New or Old version?

Quattrosaurus 06-07-2001 07:13 PM

build quality is awesome, the performance is as good as an exhaust could give....

and the sound is sweet...... although there is a droning inside the cabin below 3000 RPM's. Great exhaust though. The tone is low and agressive, and there is a sweet burbling when you let off the gas. Email me for more info.

Okay I will say something nice about our tuners. APR Version 1

Build quality, well it's made by B&B (rumor has it) so that means it's top notch but also means that its way too friggen expensive and I hope APR gets their arses in gear and creates their own exhaust, obtaining numbers from their new dyno and sell it for the normal $400-$600 range that a stainless steel, mandrel bent catback should be sold for!

Sorry.

Build quality very nice, fitment very nice. It's loud, resonates under 2900 rpm, but after that the sound goes away. You get on it and you know there is something there. Love to hit the throttle sitting at a light or what have you, sounds like a powerful european V8, really like the sound. The droning is annoying but that is what a stereo is for and unfortunately the Fiance' thinks it's too loud, so I have to either A) remove it and put something else on or B) buy her a Boxster or a TT (which is probably what I'm going to do so I can really start tweaking this awesome car!)..

So I would give it a top score!

Hope that helps

Do APR's downpipes have that flex section...?

you know, the part that helps the whole exhaust sytem flex and keep the pipes from snapping under engine load at the turbo's. just curious..

Yes, the version 2 downpipes have full flex conectors.
